Before operation, the work area should be free of high-voltage lines and clearly marked or fenced off; unauthorized personnel are prohibited from entering. Personnel must wear safety harnesses when climbing for inspection or maintenance. Obstacles such as rocks should be cleared from the drilling site around the borehole. Drill operators should be trained and inspect the equipment before operation to ensure the drill rod and all components are free from deformation and damage. The work area should be leveled and compacted.

When installing drill rods, install them section by section, starting from the power head. Do not connect the entire required length of drill rod on the ground and then lift and install it all at once, especially for drill rods longer than 10 meters. After installation, the centerline of the drill rod and power head is allowed to deviate by 1% of the total length. Before starting, the control lever should be in neutral for a no-load test to check the instruments, temperature, sound, brakes, etc.

Drilling should begin by slowly lowering the drill rod to align the drill bit with the borehole. Drilling can begin when the ammeter pointer deviates to the no-load state. During drilling, if the current exceeds the rated current, the drilling speed should be slowed down. During operation, the instrument panel must be closely monitored, and the machine must be stopped immediately if any abnormality is detected. When drilling, if the frame shakes, shifts, tilts, or emits rhythmic noises from the drill bit, drilling must be stopped immediately and only resumed after the issue has been addressed. When changing the drill rod's rotation direction, it must be done only after the drill rod has completely stopped rotating. It is strictly forbidden to remove mud from the auger blades by hand during operation. If any fastening bolts are found to be loose, the machine must be stopped immediately and tightened before resuming operation. When the drilling rig is running, prevent the cable from getting tangled in the drill rod; this must be supervised by a designated person.

In the event of a power outage during operation, all controllers should be placed in the zero position, the power supply cut off, and the drill rod should be completely pulled out of the hole so that the drill bit is in contact with the ground. All operations must be stopped during severe weather conditions such as thunderstorms, heavy fog, and winds of force 6 or higher.

After the operation, the drill rod and drill bit should be fully raised outside the hole. First, remove the mud from the drill rod and auger blades, then press the drill bit down to contact the ground, brake all parts, put the control lever in the neutral position, and finally disconnect the power.
